No more skipping...

Well, I thought I would post again in September...but apparently not! And now we are almost a third of the way through October! Just in time, I guess because this Sunday is the Army 10 Miler! I've run this race four times: 2007, 2008, and 2009 and again in 2012. I'm not sure about other years, but it seems every year I ran it it was warm! Except for maybe 2012. My best year was 2012 - and I wasn't too far off my 10 mile PR, all things considered!

Anyway, I am looking forward to this race. I love everything they do before the race starts. I love Patriotism!

This weekend, I'm getting a ride to the start, instead of Metro like in the past. We also will get picked up after. I think I'll be riding with Margie (her husband is driving us), Lisa, and Kathy! My friends from Team Rabbit will all be up in Canandaigua, New York for the wonderful Can Lake 50! They are all doing the 50K!

This will be my longest race - or even run - in a while. I think the last time I ran 10 miles or more was last year at Can Lake when I paced Carol to the finish of her first 50 miler! That's when I joined in when she had just 15 miles to go. What a fun experience!

But I think I am ready. I successfully completed two 10Ks since August, and my longest run was just over 8, plus a hilly 7 miler last weekend. The hills on the ATM course won't come close to what I ran last weekend.

Happy and Healthy Racing!
