But apparently I *like* skipping...

Because now it is December!

The Fairfax Four Miler is tentatively on my schedule. I have not yet signed up for it. And with my nagging heel pain I'm not so sure I want to run it. I have only run 400 M (just done on Monday, December 7) since the 1 mile race I did on November 15, which I never blogged about. You can read about it here, on the Team Rabbit blog though! I ended up skipping the Thanksgiving day turkey trot, which is a bummer, but my heel pain was still nagging. However, it's definitely feeling better. I'll decide in a week - or so - about the New Year's Eve race. That being said, I likely won't sign up for the New Year's Day race either! I really need to start training for the half marathon I'm signed up for in February and want to be as healthy as possible for that!

Since the  beginning of October I've cut way back on swimming. I'm trying to 'rest' my shoulder a little. However...tomorrow is a double swim day to celebrate STUR's upcoming birthday. It's tradition! This tradition now includes CrossFit! This year we will only swim twice, which is probably good for my shoulder! After the second, mid-day swim we will grab lunch at Chick Fil A. Also tradition!

I have been doing a very small amount of biking. Got in a nice ride on Thanksgiving morning and did a little mountain bike ride, too. I rode a little of the Accotink / Cross County trail but also did a very small amount of single track over by Wakefield Park. It had been a while since I've done that!

So with all these other activities being  cut back, what have I been doing? I'll tell you: CrossFit

At the beginning of November, through the gym, I began a 3 month wellness program. Along with that - conveniently - I increased my box time from 2-3 times a week to 3-5. Some days I do a double workout as I stay after for 'barbell club'! For example, last week while I went to the box four times, I actually got in six workouts.

Happy and Healthy Training AND Happy Holidays!

Next Up: TBD
