So Happy It's Thursday!

I am always SHappy It's Thursday - because S*H*I*T.

Anyway, last weekend I had a good swim and attended my first of two CrossFit foundations sessions at Mount Vernon CrossFit. Well, technically it was two sessions (parts 1 and 2) combined in one. This weekend is parts 3 and 4. I am looking forward to more fun! I'm not sure yet how or if I'll incorporate more than one CrossFit session a week - but for now will likely plan to go every other Saturday, if not every Saturday.

This week I've had two fantastic swims! My shoulder still has a niggle, but form focus has really helped with that and I'm feeling stronger in the water. Last night I did a treadmill 'hike' that involved going 1.5 miles uphill with a max incline of 14.5%. Some portions involved slow running. I did a similar workout on Sunday. Hopefully these types of workouts will help with my leg strength. In addition to the body weight workouts I've been doing!

This Sunday is the Big Game Runch at =PR= Reston. I'm not sure how long I'll be running, distance-wise, but look forward to getting outside. Though it might be a little snowy out, looking ahead at the weekend weather! I still have not been on a bike (inside spinning or outside), so maybe on Sunday after the Runch I'll be able to do a little spin before the Super Bowl festivities later that day!

As for the Super Bowl - neither team is really my team, but since I have lots of family up in New England, I'll be pulling for the Patriots.

A week from this Sunday is my first official race of 2015! The Run Your Heart Out 5K! New location this year, but a familiar course. And a course that I like! Not sure how 'ready' I'll be for it, but it will be my new starting off point, as my ankle is just about 100%. Last night I finally did BOSU stability work!

Happy and Healthy Training!
