Well, my ankle is still a little sore, but I got a short, easy run in on Wednesday. Hoping to get another one in tomorrow morning as well. Or maybe even this afternoon. I'd really like to hit the treadmill early, then go to the swim practice at Audrey Moore. Hopefully there won't be a swim meet this time!
The big thing for this weekend is on Saturday mid-day! That's when I go to the first of two of a double session of CrossFit Foundations classes at Mt. Vernon CrossFit. Then I will be able to attend drop in sessions at CrossFit and know and understand what exactly is going on! I'm really trying to get into a regular strength routine and the one session I attended with Carol on her 3x birthday swim day was a lot of fun. The fact that have drop-ins and don't require a regular membership is good for me. Then once I get a little more comfortable I'm hoping to check out some 'boxes' in my immediate area and see what's out there. But my plan is to hopefully do drop ins at Mt. Vernon CrossFit at least twice a month.
One thing I've really been slacking on is bike training! This Sunday I plan to do a spin workout in my garage. Trixie is all set up for the new trainer and vice versa, so now I just need to make it happen!
Next Sunday I plan to have a little pre-Super Bowl fun with the Big Game Runch Powered by Nike at the =PR= in Reston! It is from 9:00 - 10:30 and there will be a fun run followed by a post-run brunch. There may be some fun prizes to win, too! Click on the link to RSVP! Thanks Kim for spreading the word!
