Finally Friday!

Well I wanted to do a blog update this week and meant to do it earlier -- on Earth Day...but time got away from me. So Finally Friday it is! Tonight I plan to jog/walk a 5k with my dog at the 'final' Crystal Run 5K Fridays race. My dog should have a blast! The most we've ever run/walk is 4 miles so she should be ok! I love they they allow dogs to participate in certain races. We should have FUN! And Kathy, aka Running Buddy, aka RBud will be there as well! I hope we can coordinate a meeting place beforehand!

Tomorrow I plan to swim with STUK! (STUK is the one who came up with the name "Rabbittear" for Team Rabbit followers!) at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex! I remember going there for indoor track meets for my younger son and always thought what a cool place it was. They have everything! The pool always looked amazing and I'm excited I get to finally try it out! After the swim I'm headed to packet pick up for a 5K race I'm doing on Sunday - Rockstar 5K - with P-Diddles!  This race is one of =PR='s Collectible Pin Races! I plan to do a few more (four I think) to I earn a t-shirt at the end of the year!

The race for Sunday looks fun! The course is one big loop with rolling hills (based on the elevation chart when I plotted the course on MapMyRun) that starts and finishes in the middle of Fairfax Corner on Grand Commons Avenue. P-Diddles and I are carpooling which will be fun. In case you forgot, P-Diddles is the Rabbittear who kind of got Team Rabbit going with the suggestion of wearing bunny ears! And I'm excited because there's a Caribou Coffee there and I'm hoping I can grab a post race celebratory latte before we head home after.

Happy and Healthy Training!

Enjoy the race! we would normally be there for this one, Nike kind of got in the way ;). It's a bit of a hilly course, I've run it a few times. For the =PR= series, last year it was 6 races to get the t-shirt. Which ended up being a blanket with the =PR= logo. They did t-shirts two years ago and Rick got a cool shirt. The blankets are cool, too, (black flannel), but I really did want a shirt, LOL!
