The Colonial Half Marathon is THIS weekend! It is the 33rd running of this event. I did it – my first half marathon – 10 years ago! It was different because it did not start till 1 PM. Different but nice. I actually had a good breakfast that day! I’m using this as a run to test how much I can push...I think. Some of my long runs lately had me starting in zone 2 then ending in zone 4. So I will see what I can accomplish on Sunday afternoon!
Now there are only 24 days till the Shamrock Marathon! I cannot believe it is less than a month away now. I remember having to defer from last year – I was so sad because of my foot and the plantar fasciitis. Thankfully my foot has been pretty happy for a while now. (But I’m still keeping my fingers crossed!) Shamrock will be my 7th marathon, but only my 5th stand-alone one. I’m really excited about it. Nervous, yes, but excited. It is also the 40th anniversary event so they are planning for some fun stuff.
And hard to believe that the Rumpus in Bumpass weekend is less than two months away. I wonder how cold the water will be if this mild winter keeps up? Of course, I probably just jinxed it...
A bunch of us are running the Baltimore 10-Miler for Priscilla's birthday in June! It is going to be a FUN day! Happy B'day P!
Wow...only 150 days till Ironman Lake Placid. Not sure I needed to see that one! At least it is not down to double-digits! Yet...
Happy and Healthy Running!
